Homewood approves liquor license, police cruiser purchase via conference call

With only Mayor Richard Hofeld and Village Manager Jim Marino in the room, the Homewood village board held a meeting March 24. Trustees and Village Clerk Marilyn Thomas attended via conference call through a speaker.

The meeting was conducted via amended rules approved by Governor JB Pritzker because of the COVID-19 regulations. Trustees are allowed to vote without being physically present.

No residents attended the meeting.

“Stay safe and healthy and abide by the (medical) recommendations and the rules,” Trustee Larry Burnson said during the comment portion of the meeting.
