State’s Attorney asks for expedited bail hearings to help empty county’s jail

The District 233 school board met in special session Friday, Dec. 6, to hire the search firm BWP & Associates to help find a new superintendent. The contract is for $18,900.

After 12 years in the job, Superintendent Von Mansfield will be retiring in June 2022.

The board conducted a special meeting Nov. 30 to interview three of the firm’s partners. They outlined a timetable that is expected to find candidates by February for interviews. 

The board hopes to hire a new person in May with the title of assistant . . .
