The Chronicle has never had its own physical newsroom, but we remember back in the day when we worked at papers that did. People would pop in when they were in the neighborhood to ask questions, share story ideas, make suggestions or lodge complaints.
In years past, we've had similar conversations at the Homewood Farmers Market. But this year, the pandemic thwarted that plan, so we decided to host occasional Zoom sessions to provide the same kind of opportunity, more or less.
