Homewood Chocolate Fest returns Feb. 22

With Tom Houlihan’s retirement from this newspaper at the end of 2020, the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle has an exciting opportunity for change as our towns’ premier outlet for local news.

It is also an opportunity for an H-F area resident to contribute to our community’s continued well-being as the Chronicle’s co-owner and third partner.

Summer events

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
