Ron Newquist has joined Homewood Heights Baseball & Softball Club as director of girls softball, according to Brian Andreatta, president of the club.

"He will manage the 14U team in 2020 and work closely with our 12U and 8U travel team managers and coaches to develop our girls in varying ways," Andreatta said. "He will also work with our leadership team to further develop our grass roots effort in the community via our Girls Softball Little League program."
Newquist has more than 30 years of coaching experience in both softball and basketball at varying levels from recreational to college sports.
"He is a no-nonsense guy, a lifelong Chicago Heights resident and an excellent addition to our growing organization," Andreatta said. "Ron needs no introduction in the community. He adds tremendous value to our vision for softball. What attracted him to our organization is our success in just three years. He recognizes that we play hard, get results and our players learn meaningful life lessons along the way."
Homewood Heights Baseball & Softball was founded in late 2017 and has grown by offering programs to the area with varying channels for players to play baseball and softball.
