Toy soldiers that look like they might have come from a production of Tchaikovskiys “The Nutcracker” have been standing guard in the display windows at The Art Corner, 18703 Dixie Highway in Homewood.
The figures were created by store employee Ryan Niksic, who has experience building window displays in downtown Chicago. She said the soldiers took about a month to construct.
They will be on display through the holiday season, she said.
