Registration open to volunteer at the BMW Championship

Golf enthusiasts have a chance to play a part in the 2020 BMW Championship golf tournament at Olympia Fields Country Club Aug. 18 through 23 by serving as a volunteer.

The BMW Championship features the top 70 PGA Tour players vying to earn one of 30 spots in the season-ending Tour Championship and the chance to be crowned FedExCup champion. 
 
Past BMW Championship winners include defending champion Justin Thomas, Keegan Bradley, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Zach Johnson, Justin Rose and Tiger Woods.
 
Organizers are looking for volunteers willing to work at least three shifts during the week. Shifts range from 4 to 6 hours, depending on the assignment.
 
Volunteers pay a $135 fee that includes two Peter Millar golf shirts and an outwear piece, a hat or visor, a championship pin, a BMW Championship branded bag, two good-any-one-day tournament round grounds tickets and your volunteer credential valid for the week.

Holiday ticket packages for the 2020 BMW Championship are available through Jan. 3. Trophy Club tickets are $35 for practice rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday and $110 for championship rounds Thursday through Sunday.

 
The Trophy Club is a hospitality venue located on the seventh green with food and beverages available for purchase. The Trophy Club offers a climate-controlled venue with a sports bar atmosphere.
 
Tickets for Clocktower Club, a new upscale hospitality venue debuting at this event, are $285 per ticket giving fans access to open seating within the Trophy Club venue, as well as exclusive access to the Grand Pavilion within the Olympia Fields Clubhouse where complimentary food, beer, wine and soft drinks will be served. It also includes one parking pass for every two tickets purchased.
 
Proceeds from the 2020 BMW Championship will help fund Evans Scholarships for caddies. Jonathan Kriarakis of Homewood-Flossmoor High School is a 2020 recipient.
