A man shot in Homewood in late November was involved in a drug transaction with his assailant, police said in a press release Tuesday.
Homewood Police said that during their investigation, the victim admitted to knowing the person who shot him on Nov. 22 near the corner of Matthew Lane and Kedzie Avenue.
The victim is declining to prosecute the man who shot him.
Just before 7 p.m. on that Friday, police responded to a report of someone injured by a gunshot near the intersection just south of 183rd Street behind the Jewel-Osco plaza.
The injured man, who has not been identified, told police a man had shot him. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
