More than half a dozen successful snowflake spotters stopped by Homewood village hall on Saturday to report their findings and collect their prize.

Every year, Homewood Public Works crews install lighted snowflake decorations on poles in the downtown area, and every year they include one that is different from the rest. Anyone who finds the odd snowflake can stop by village hall on Saturdays, tell Mayor Richard Hofeld the location and receive a choice of coupon from Twisted Q BBQ or Krispy Kreme Donuts.

  they go up each winter.

Gehrig Lucas, 10, of Homewood claims a Krispy
Kreme coupon as a reward for successfully
  spotting the odd snowflake.
