Local talent will shine Nov. 22 at the third annual Flossmoor Community Church ShowOff talent show.
The program, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Flossmoor Community House, 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor, will help provide resources for area homeless people.
Money raised will benefit the FCC PADS shelter. The shelter runs Sunday evenings from October through April providing food, shelter and hot showers to south suburban homeless men.
As with the previous two events, organizers Brooke King LaBreck and Matt Bailey encourage performers of all ages and talents to get involved.
The shows have featured acoustic singer-songwriters, award-winning instrumentalists, dancers, full rock bands and comedians.
Anyone interested in participating should contact LaBreck at [email protected] or Bailey at [email protected].
Guests will be asked to make free-will offerings to support the PADS program. The event is BYOB, and food trucks will be available.
Organizers are seeking sponsors for the event. Sponsorship allows 100 percent of the evening’s proceeds to go directly to the shelter, according to LaBreck. Anyone interested in being a sponsor should contact her by email.
