Flossmoor residents bring flooding complaints to village board

 When small businesses were slammed by the social and economic shutdown mandated to fight the spread of COVID-19, our community rallied around them. The Chronicle was no exception, and we want to thank readers who have so generously contributed to keeping their local news source going.

Summer events

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
