Fire pit, taproom make debut at Friday’s Pre-Dark Lord Festival

Voters in Homewood and Flossmoor went to the polls on Tuesday, March 17, to pick candidates in Illinois’ primary election.

Illinois has more than 1.5 million registered voters. Approximately 420,000 cast ballots.

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
