Homewood trustees to hear results of parking study

Polls are open today from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Cook County Clerk Karen Yarbrough is urging voters to double check their assigned polling place as some have changed recently. For example, voters in Precinct 67, who in recent years have voted at Shir Tikvah temple in Homewood, are now voting at the Homewood School District offices at 18205 Aberdeen St.

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
