Residents of Homewood and Flossmoor will be appearing on stage when The Drama Group presents “Mary Page Marlowe” over two February weekends.

The production will be presented at The Drama Group’s Milord Studio Theatre, 330 W. 202nd St. in Chicago Heights. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14 and 15, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16. The show repeats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 20, 21 and 22, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23.

The show, by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Tracy Letts, walks guests through the many years of Mary Page Marlowe’s life. Dayna Sterkowitz of Flossmoor plays the lead when she is in her 30s, and Suzanne Ashlock plays the lead role when Marlowe is in her late 60s.

The cast of “Mary Page Marlowe” includes, from left, front row Mia Wetzler, Sara Witasik, Dayna Sterkowitz and Betsey Manzoni. Back row, from left: Cathie Drakulich, Jeannie Markionni, Deb Brunette and Suzanne Ashlock. Not pictured: Meghan Hoyt. The play will be presented by The Drama Group on Feb. 14-23. (Provided photo)

Also on stage is P.J. Janicki of Flossmoor taking on the roles of Wendy Gilbert and Lorna.

“Mary Page Marlowe” illuminates both pivotal and mundane moments from the Ohio accountant’s life to give a picture of a surprisingly complicated woman. The play offers a look at how circumstance, impulse and time combine to sometimes make one’s life a complete mystery.

Nine actors portray Marlow as she moves from age 12 to 69. During the play, a family quilt is assembled piecemeal over time, stitched together haphazardly as the story unfolds.

Russ Hoganson of Homewood is working on set design, and J.R. Rose of Homewood is the video director and doing projections.

Tickets are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors and $17 for students with ID. Group discount rates are also available. Tickets can be purchased through the Drama Group box office at 708-755-3444, or online at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4443615

As part of The Drama Group’s community outreach, a donation drive benefitting the South Suburban Family Shelter will be held during the show’s run. Donations can be left in the theater lobby. For a complete list of needed items, visit https://ssfs1.org/give-help/donate/
