Homewood urges Glenwood to reconsider power plant approval

On Monday, Jan. 20, the first skaters were able to test out the ice in the new Flossmoor Park skating rinks. By Saturday, warm days had softened the surface, forcing the cancellations of skating activities at the first Skaturdays winter festival.

But the party wasn't cancelled, and Flossmoor families converged on Park Place to enjoy food, music, games and community. The event was the first in a series of four sponsored by Flossmoor's Future that will take place at the rinks on successive Saturdays.

  • Pride Party at the Flossmoor Community Church Community House, 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor. The family-friendly event will have food, music and other entertainment from 5 to 8 p.m.
