Students ages 5 through 18 are invited to a Community Culture Fest from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Homewood Science Center.
The free event is hosted by students in the Homewood-Flossmoor High School MVP Collaborative Arts Class. The students have been working on creating a community project centered around art.
Students are calling the fest “Flosswood GlenHazel FieldHeights” to draw attention not only to the H-F community but the surrounding communities as well – Glenwood, Hazel Crest, Olympia Fields and Chicago Heights.
Organizers plan to showcase Judaism, and Mexican, Korean and Polish cultures. There will be food, a dance program led by Mikyla Maxon and Ariel Davis, and arts and crafts.
