Nonviolence program March 30 at St. Joseph’s

GoFundMe page was started for a Homewood family whose basement was flooded with sewage after a pipe collapsed outside their home. On December 30, Emily Pinto noticed sewage water coming up through a drainage tile in the basement.   • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
