Kathy Gray and friends are proving black girls do bike for fun, exercise

Inspirational stories are at the forefront of this year’s Black History Month celebration at Parker Junior High School. Parker students this month are conducting video interviews with parents and other community members about how they were influenced by African American role models, and how those persons helped them succeed in their own lives.   • Pride Party at the Flossmoor Community Church Community House, 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor. The family-friendly event will have food, music and other entertainment from 5 to 8 p.m.
