No bail for man accused of Homewood murder

The Carroll Parkway fountain recently was struckby a car, knocking it from its base. (Tom Houlihan/H-F Chronicle) A fountain at the entrance to the Flossmoor Park neighborhood for decades was severely damaged in a traffic accident last week. 
The fountain, in the 2200 block of Carroll Parkway, was partially demolished when struck by a car that drove completely across the structure. The vehicle was headed northeast on Carroll when it hit the fountain, destroying a concrete piece of the structure that was about four feet high and the bowl where it was located . . .
