People like to do business with people they know, and two area business groups are providing an opportunity for businesspeople to get acquainted with each other and sip on fine craft brews at the same time.
The Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce and the Homewood Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to host a casual networking event from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Flossmoor Station, 1035 Sterling Ave. in Flossmoor.
Tickets are $25 for members or $35 for nonmembers and include appetizers plus two drinks of beer or wine. Tickets can be purchased in advance online.
Rodney Young, president of Homewood Area Chamber of Commerce, said Business & Brews is the first event co-sponsored by the two organizations.
“We’re so excited to partner with the Chicago Southland Chamber for this event,” Young said. “We believe cross-chamber collaboration is going to be important in seeing economic growth in our region in the coming years.” More information and tickets at http://bit.ly/2OOD1Jq.
