PSC students learn trade skills hands-on at Park Forest house

 Homewood police confirmed reports posted to Facebook that a bank robbery occurred Friday.  Police vehicles blocked access  to Chase Bank on Friday after  it was reportedly robbed.  (Carole Sharwarko/H-F Chronicle)  In a press release, Homewood police said officers responded to a report of a robbery at Chase Bank at the corner of 183rd Street and Dixie Highway around 12:06 p.m.

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
