Two Homewood businesses received bomb threats on Thursday, Dec. 13, but police said the threats do no appear to be credible.
Both threats were delivered via email and contained a demand for payment, according to Homewood police.
Police received the first report at about 1:15 p.m. regarding a threat against a business in the 18800 block of Dixie Highway.
At 1:55 p.m. another threat was reported regarding a business in the 3200 block of 183rd Street.
The nature and method of the threats follows a pattern that has been see throughout the Chicago area, according to police.
“At this time, there do not appear to be credible threats to any facilities in the village,” police said in a statement.
