Chili lovers know to line up early for the tasting session at the annual chili cook-off in order to sample the best efforts of local chili artists.

Judging will take place at 2 p.m. to crown Homewood’s Master Chef in two categories, amateur and professional. The awards presentation will be followed by chili tasting, open to the public from 3 to 5 p.m.

This year, proceeds from the chili tasting will benefit the Homewood Arts Council.
