Homewood approves 2.63 acre sale of Walton Preserve to railroad

Award-winning Cajun food is coming to Homewood.
Blue Island restaurant Maple Tree Inn is moving to 18849 Dixie Highway, according to a statement. That’s the site of the recently-shuttered The Cottage on Dixie restaurant. "I couldn't be happier. They're certainly a terrific restaurant and a welcome addition to the village," Homewood Mayor Richard Hofeld said. "I look forward to breaking bread there. Who could turn down shrimp and grits?"
The former Cottage on Dixie   restaurant will be the new   home of the Maple Tree Inn  . . .
