Stephen Sondheim composed the music for this, his first musical. The show has been called a nonstop laugh fest as it sets the scenes in vaudeville style. It’s a fast-paced, witty and irreverent production about Pseudolus, a crafty slave, who struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted courtesan named Philia for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, slamming doors and a showgirl or two.

The cast includes Jenn Crick, Scott Fimoff and Kanoa Mulling of Homewood, with Angela Marciszewski of Flossmoor as music director.

Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, and 2 p.m. April 28. The following weekend, showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 2, 3 and 4, and 2 p.m. May 5.

Tickets are $23 for adults, $21 for senior and $17 for students with ID. Group rates are available. For online sales visit www.dramagroup.orgor call 708-755-3444.
