Families braved chilly 44-degree weather on Saturday, April 13, to participate in the annual Lucky Egg Hunt and Lucky Dog Egg Hunt sponsored by the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District.

Summer events

Monday, July 4

  • Homewood 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, then follows Ridge Road to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
  • Flossmoor 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High and ends downtown, where there will be fun activities.
