Students in grades 2 through 12 participating in summer theater at Homewood-Flossmoor High School will conclude the session with three performances of “Big the Musical,” the theater for young audiences version.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, July 20, in the Mall Auditorium in H-F’s South Building. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students, children and senior citizens.
The musical is based on the book by John Weiddman and the 20th Century Fox film that starred Tom Hanks as Josh Baskin, a kid who wishes he’d become “big,” and magically his wish comes true. The role of Josh is shared by Brandon Eddy and Darrow Richmond. Jill Bonavia-Galligani, H-F English and fine arts teacher, is directing the production.
