Area Students Receive Bachelor Degrees from The College of Wooster

The Village of Flossmoor is taking steps toward redeveloping about 1,500 feet of roadways, pedestrian areas and streetscapes in its downtown central business district.This map shows plans for the Flossmoor downtowncentral business district roadway redevelopment. 

The Flossmoor Village Board on Jan. 22 voted to give the OK to Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers to enter the project’s first phase, which will include planning, collecting data, conducting a topographical survey, analyzing alternate designs, considering drainage improvements and other steps.

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
