The Homewood-Flossmoor Education Organization (HFEO), the union representing teachers and instructional assistants at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, has awarded four students with $500 scholarships. The winners were announced at the May honors convocation.
HFEO Service Awards were presented to Kori Barnes and Christian Scott, and the HFEO Future Teacher Award was given to Amanda Fieramosca. The students were selected through an application process.
HFEO Outstanding Senior Award was presented to Margaret Sullivan. Teachers nominated students for this honor.
HFEO accepts donations from teachers, instructional assistants and retired staff to cover the scholarships.
