Homewood to purchase building once part of proposed development

Flossmoor residents can now legally park pickup trucks in their driveways after the Flossmoor Village Board voted Monday to change a decades-old ban.

Summer events

Monday, July 4

  • Homewood 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, then follows Ridge Road to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
  • Flossmoor 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High and ends downtown, where there will be fun activities.
