H-F students awarded internships, scholarships through ACE Mentor Program

In February, Homewood officially marked it's 125th anniversary as a village. In addition to a story by Jim Wright about the village's incorporation, Eric Crump's Page 2 column included a photo of the three living mayors — Richard Hofeld, Andrew Lindstrom and John Doody — speaking at a forum sponsored by the Homewood Historical Society.

We had more local election coverage with a story about the community's differing perspectives on the Homewood home rule referendum.

The cover feature by Marilyn Thomas focused on Homewood-Flossmoor High School's fencing program.
