Two Park Forest residents have been accused of attempted armed robbery after allegedly threatening two people in Homewood on April 20. Mark Blankenberger, 34, of Cherry Street, and Jaryl Johnson, 29, of the 3200 block of Western Avenue, each have been charged with two counts of attempted armed robbery, according to the Cook County Circuit Court clerk.The two were armed with knives as they approached two people shortly before midnight in the 18200 block of Harwood Avenue, according to police.
