Governors State University is hosting its “Earth Day Tour: Where the Prairie Meets the City” from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, with a walk through the internationally renowned Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park on the GSU campus.
The free event starts near the D Building main entrance on the GSU campus in University Park.
The park has 29 masterworks. This tour will highlight works by Richard Hunt, John Henry and Mark diSuvero, three favorite artists.
Participants should consider bringing a packed lunch and be prepared to walk three miles on pavement and grass paths.
