Glenwood Academy is hosting its 25th annual “Taste of Glenwood” from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 9.
The benefit will be held at the academy’s Irwin Family Center, 500 W. 187th St. in Glenwood. The event will feature a silent auction, specialty food and beverage tastings, raffles and children’s entertainment.
Glenwood Academy educates more than 150 children ages 7 to 18 from 60 communities in the Chicago area. They are primarily from single parent households and nearly all live at or below the poverty line. Glenwood Academy offers a community environment built around academics, character building and a drive for excellence.
Advance tickets are $15 for children and $75 for adults and can be purchased at glenwoodacademy.org/community-celebration . Tickets at the door are $85.
