Ready for a challenge? Join “Spell Check” at the Homewood Public Library on Saturday, Jan. 27.
Teams of four will be challenged to spell against each other in this second event that raises money for the library. Librarians will be developing the spelling list that is sure to include some foolers—whether or not you think you know all the spelling rules.
This 7 to 10 p.m. program is an adults-only party. The team entry fee is $200. Guest attendance is $10. The library is at 17917 Dixie Highway.
“Emcee Extraordinaire Nick Quirke returns to Spell Check for the second year,” Library Director Amy Crump said.
Food and drinks will be served. Participants will also get to enjoy a pie auction.
Sponsors are the H-F Chronicle and Wiley’s Grill.
