Two outstanding members of the Vikings baseball team at Homewood-Flossmoor High School were offered contracts in the Major League Baseball draft in June.But left-handed pitcher Kyle Salley and outfielder Zaid Walker passed on the offers and instead will play ball in college. Both can be drafted by MLB after their third year of college.After graduation June 3, Salley played ball in a California collegiate league to keep active for a month before taking a summer course at Duke University, where he will be a freshman.
