The Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet & Fitness Center will be getting five pieces of new equipment. At its board meeting Tuesday, Sept. 17, the board agreed to replace two of its oldest elliptical machines and an old recumbent exerciser. Commissioners approved a contract with Midwest Commercial Fitness for $21,200 for four Octane ellipticals and one Sci-Fit recumbent elliptical. “Standard elliptical machines are being replaced with cross trainers, which allow for more movements, such as walk, run, hike and climb.
