Second Noon Year’s Eve party set

The Noon Year’s Eve crowd will have a second option this year.

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will host a “Happy Noon Year’s Eve” event from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 at Wiley’s Grill, 800 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor.

The celebration will be in addition to the annual event in Homewood. That party is being limited to 300 Homewood residents this year due to safety concerns about the size of the crowd.

The park district program will include a balloon drop, a DJ for dancing, face painting, a photo booth, light snacks and a kiddie cocktail bar.  There is a $5 per person fee.

Because the park facility can only accommodate 120 people, admission is by ticket only.  H-F Park District residents have until Dec. 21 to pick up their tickets at either the Goldberg Administration Center, 3301 Flossmoor Road, or the Irwin Community Center, 18120 Highland Ave. in Homewood.

If tickets are still available after Dec. 21, residents from outside the park district can be admitted by ticket.

Park district staff can provide additional information at 708-957-0300 or online at hfparks.com.
