Flossmoor Baseball and Softball will host a free Major League Baseball Junior Home Run Derby for local youth at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at Flossmoor Park, 2525 Flossmoor Road. The competition, sponsored by Major League Baseball, is a way for talented youngsters to showcase their hitting talents, with the opportunity of competing at the national finals during MLB All-Star Week. Boys and girls are divided into two age divisions, 12 and under and 14 and under, and will have the chance to advance through three levels of competition.
