The District 233 school board awarded tenure to nine Homewood-Flossmoor High School teachers at its meeting Tuesday, April 3. Teachers are considered for tenure during their fourth year of full-time employment with the district. A letter to each honoree states that tenure “means to the students and parents of the district that your total impact on your students and colleagues has been carefully appraised and that you have (the board’s) complete endorsement as a permanent member of this faculty.” Teachers who, with the start of the 2018-19 contact, will be tenured are:
