The Friends of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra will host the annual Rising Star Showcase at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, at Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor. "We welcome another roster of outstanding performers," said Maryellen Tomassetti, Rising Star Showcase co-chair. "Their musicianship and youth will impress all who hear them."
