College Board names H-F grads AP Scholars

The League of Women Voters Homewood-Flossmoor area is hosting an informational meeting from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, addressing the Village of Homewood’s home rule proposal.Homewood voters will consider the question in the March 20 election whether to approve home rule authority for the village.   • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
