The James Hart School baseball team won the right to compete in Illinois Elementary School Association sectional play after defeating Parker Junior High on Monday, Sept. 18.
The score was 5-1. The game was played at Lions Field in Homewood. Hart will play Manteno Middle School on Saturday in Manteno.
Players are Charles Anderson, David Anderson, Dylan Barnas, Breyan Brooks, James Collins, Kamin Cox, Patrick Donahue, Zachary Garofalo, Dillon Head, Joshua Joseph, Colton Kerczewski, Kamaal Muhammad, Korey Mulling, Alec O’Connor, Cole Palmore, Logan Quaderer, Alijah Rainey, Kade Reid, Charles Van Etten and Kaiden Wesley.
The team is coached by Grant Sikkem and Ric Druse.
Hart’s team also advanced to sectionals in 2015 and 2016.
