DeLorean is on hand for dedication of new Flossmoor downtown clocks

Before voters go to the polls March 20, administrators at the Village of Flossmoor have set two informational meetings to give insights into the reasons for the proposed sales tax increase.The meetings will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, and 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, at Flossmoor Village Hall, 2800 Flossmoor Road.The village board is proposing a 1 percent sales tax be added to many goods and services sold in the village. Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
