The Grande Prairie Singers will hold open auditions for all new singers on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Grace Church, 266 Somonauk in Park Forest. Now in its fifth decade, the group will open its season with a Christmas-themed concert on Dec. 10, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Matteson. A Grande Prairie Cabaret concert, highlighting the individual talents of the 40-plus member voices, will take place on March 11, 2018, and a bluegrass concert, featuring some of the best bluegrass musicians in the area, will be held . . .
