The Homewood-Flossmoor Summer Theatre will present“Madagascar Jr.” in three performances July 20 and 21.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday, and 2 and 7 p.m. Friday in the high school’s Mall Auditorium.
This lively production is based on the DreamWorks movie “Madagascar” and follows Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and the cast of penguins as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and go on an unexpected journey to the world of King Julien’s Madagascar.
Performers are: Amelia Bruni, Barbara Burns, Siara Carpenter, Kaden Carter, Max Cichon, Hosea Crossley, Ariel Davis, Marcelles Foster, Daniel Garrity, Andrew Heligas, Ava Jones, Halena Laven.
The cast also includes Aubrey Mandichak, Flannery Marak, Cameron Massatt, Alana Matthews, Grace McKillip, Charlotte McManus, Mia Napue, Logan Nelson, Noelle Oh, Allison Ryan, Finn Ryan, Sofia Searcy, Jada Seaton, Zosha Schall, Zora Shannon.
And Audrey Simmons, Isaiah Simmons, Maggie Sullivan, Dillon Taylor, Kevin Thompson, Brianna Valentine, Jayla Watkins, Joy Woods, Kayla Worley and Lilia Zamkin.
The production is directed by H-F English teacher Jill Bonavia-Galligani, and assistant directors Kenneth Bivens, Elaina Dague, Sydney DuBose, Ethan Runburg and Mandy Sigale.
