Acoustic Music Festival set for Aug. 26

Nearly a dozen entertainers will be featured at the Southland Acoustic Music Festival on Saturday, Aug. 26, in Park Forest.
 
The 1 to 7 p.m. program will be on the grounds of the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 70 Sycamore Drive. The music performances are set for outdoors, but will move inside in case of inclement weather.
 
The show opens at 1 p.m. with Bev Feldt joined by Moose River with Steve Aultz and Kendra Reinshagen. At 1:45 p.m. Danny Fox, an awarding-winning Bob Dylan tribute artist, takes the stage.
 
Folk singer Anna Stange will entertain at 2:15 p.m, followed by Ryan Rudolf, a young singer/songwriter performing original and contemporary music.
 
Weeds, Bob and Bill Macy come on stage at 3:30 p.m. playing songs from the 1960s and ‘70s. They are followed by Small Potatoes at 4:30 p.m. with their collection of country, blues and swing. They entertain with guitar, tin whistle, flute, mandolin, bodhran and other percussion instruments.
 
At 5:30 p.m. Eric Lambert performs his feel-good Americana music infused with bluegrass, blues, rock and soul. He is a world-class flatpicking guitarist who has received numerous awards for his work.
 
Dave Rudolf & Friends closes out the show at 6:30 p.m. He is a South Suburbs resident who has been nominated for a Grammy. He has recorded his 34th album and is known for his entertaining style at live shows.

There is a $15 charge for the day’s activities. Attendees are reminded to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
