Eight candidates running for Illinois governor will appear at a July 22 forum at the Barnes & Noble Auditorium at Prairie State College, 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.
The program, from 10 a.m. to noon, is hosted by the Democratic Women of the South Suburbs, with participation from Indivisible South Suburban Chicago.
Moderator Craig Dellimore of WBBM News Radio 780 will address the candidates using written questions submitted by forum guests.
Candidates who have accepted the invitation are: Illinois Sen. Daniel Biss; Bob Daiber, Madison County schools superintendent; Illinois Rep. Scott Drury; Tio Hardiman, former director of CeaseFire; Chris Kennedy, former chair of the University of Illinois board of trustees; Alex Paterakis, business owner; Chicago Ald. Ameya Pawar; and J.B. Pritzker, venture capitalist.
