Homewood-Flossmoor High School’s Athletic Department is hosting the third annual Red & White Golf Classic on Friday, July 21, at Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park.
Vikings are expected from across the country for this special event that features a 1 p.m. shotgun start, followed by a dinner banquet.
The event will raise funds for the H-F athletic program, which supports more than 75 Viking sports teams. Golfers and guests can meet and network with H-F coaches and former athletes.
The 2016 outing raised nearly $10,000. The funds were used to help support the program and to generate several summer camp scholarships for Viking student-athletes, according to Dan Vosnos, H-F’s director of athletics.
Fees for the 2017 event are: $150 per person for golf and dinner or $75 per person for dinner only. A special young alumni rate is also available for those Vikings from the classes of 2007 through 2017: $100 per person for golf and dinner or $50 for dinner only.
