The Homewood-Flossmoor High School Foundation has announced the 2017 scholarship winners.
The foundation manages these scholarship accounts and makes the awards to seniors at the end of the school year. This year, 19 students received awards.
Elizabeth F. Barry Memorial Scholarship: Sydney DuBose, $2,500
Elyse Bell Girls Golf Scholarship: Amber Haywood, $1,000
Korean United Methodist Church Scholarship: Courtney Commodore and Alexandria Staton, $500 each
Suzanne E. Nebendahl Girls Golf Scholarship: Amber Haywood, $500
The Lowry Family Scholarship: Terris Ammons, $5,000 over four years
The Kevin F. Maher Memorial Scholarship: Chiedozi Nwaru and Raynald Brown, $1,500 each
The Kevin F. Maher Special Memorial Scholarship: Nina Harris, $6,000 over two years
Brian P. Miller Memorial Scholarship: Mary Huffman, $500
The Kendall A. Taplet Memorial Scholarship: Eric Hagerman, $1,000
Friends of the Library Annual Scholarship: Kristen Maxwell, $500
Homewood Rotary Club Scholarship: Tylar Canty-West, $5,000 over four years
Scott Sims Memorial Water Polo Scholarship: Michael Bonthron, $1,000
Flossmoor Service League Scholarship: Ibe Blessing, Brianna Meyer, Joylynn Osei and Michael VanEtten, $500 each
Nikki Navarette Memorial Softball Scholarship: Emily Montalvo, $1,000
